Pedal lock

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A pedal lock or pedal cover is a cover that is installed in front of the operating pedals ( accelerator pedal , brake pedal or clutch pedal ) on a motor vehicle. This is done when the regular operating pedals are replaced by other operating parts, for example for manual operation ( hand throttle , hand brake ), and there is a risk when adapting the motor vehicle for physically handicapped people . that accidentally touching the pedals will trigger an unwanted process.

The original pedals are not removed in order to keep the vehicle available for normal operation by other people. Pedal locks can usually be removed by slightly loosening the fastening.
