Janine Beermann

Janine Beermann (born November 20, 1983 in Wuppertal ) is a German teacher and hockey player . She plays for the Bochumer Hockey Verein 05.

Career

Janine Beermann played in Germany for the clubs ETG & GW Wuppertal , RTHC Bayer Leverkusen and ETUF Essen . With the RTHC she took second place in the German indoor championship and third place with the women's team in the hall. She never played in the German Bundesliga before moving to the Netherlands for NMHC Nijmegen .

With the German national hockey team Beermann took first place in 2004 at the European Indoor Championships in Eindhoven . In 2005 in Dublin she became vice European champion, in 2007 in Manchester European champion. At the 2006 World Cup in Madrid , she finished eighth. Janine Beermann was part of the roster for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing .

She studied sport and social sciences for teaching at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal and was then a teacher at the Maria-Wächtler-Gymnasium in Essen for the subjects sport, social sciences and politics. Her permanent position at the school took place in the summer of 2012.
