Pedro Cardoso , full name José Pedro Cardoso González , (born July 14, 1975 in Rocha ) is a former Uruguayan football player .

Career

The 1.78-meter-tall offensive player Cardoso belonged to the squad of the then Uruguayan first division club Huracán Buceo in 1996 . In 1997 he played in the Segunda División for Colón FC . In the years 1998 to 1999 there was a stop at Lavalleja de Rocha. From Apertura 2003 up to and including Clausura 2006, he was under contract with Rocha FC . In the Apertura 2003, 14 missions are carried out in the Segunda División, in which he hit the opposing goal eight times. From 2004 to the end of his engagement there, the statistics show 68 first division appearances and 43 scored goals for him. In the 2005/06 season he was the top scorer in the Primera División with 17 goals . After a stopover in the Apertura 2006 at Club Atlético Peñarol with 13 first division appearances and four personal goals, he returned to Rocha FC. For the Osturuguayans he now played twelve first division games and scored six times. At Apertura 2007 he joined the first division team River Plate Montevideo . In six appearances in the Primera División, he scored one goal. However, he did not live up to expectations and returned to Rocha FC again. There he scored three goals in the 2008 Clausura in the Segunda División. He left Rocha FC in October 2010 and joined Palermo in mid-2011. Then he played Lavalleja.
