Pedro Lerma

Pedro Lerma (* 1916 in Madrid ; † 2003 ) was a Spanish pianist and music teacher.

Live and act

Lerma had the first piano lessons from his mother, who was a pianist, and continued them at the Conservatory of Madrid with José Cubiles . He completed his training in 1934 with a first prize and was given a chair for piano at the conservatory. He made successful concert tours through Europe and America. He later went to Santo Domingo and became a professor at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música y Declamación .

With the cellist Ennio Orazi and the violinist Alberto Piantini , Lerma formed the Trio Lerorpi , which debuted in Santo Domingo in 1950 and was particularly successful with works by Beethoven and Mendelssohn .
