Pedubast in grave TT391

Pedubast was a high ancient Egyptian civil servant who lived in the late period . He was head of Upper Egypt , mayor of the southern city (= Thebes ) and chief asset manager of the worshiper of God . With the latter position he administered the property of the wife of God Amun , who was the most powerful person in Thebes of the late period. In this office he succeeded Padihorresnet.

Pedubast is so far only known from the Theban grave TT391 in Sheikh Abd el-Qurna , which belongs to the Karabasque. Pedubast was also buried in this tomb. He had a door frame labeled with his name and titles. Further inscriptions with his name can be found in other parts of the tomb.
