The Peer Gynt Vegen (also: Peer Gynt Veien, Norwegian ( bokmål ): Peer Gyntveien, Norwegian ( nynorsk ): Peer Gynt-vegen) is a 60-kilometer high mountain road in Espedalen, the western side valley of Gudbrandsdalen in eastern Norway , which is mostly toll road which connects the villages of Skeikampen , Gålå , Fefor and Dalseter .

The road surface mostly consists of gravel. The road can only be used in summer and is closed as soon as the first snow falls. The Peer-Gynt-Weg is mainly used by tourists and residents who live in the high mountains (around 1000 meters above sea level) or at least own an alpine hut.

The street is named after the dramatic poem Peer Gynt by Henrik Ibsen from 1867.
