The meteor shower of Pegasids are active between July 7 and July 13, and it is a weak meteor shower, which during its peak on July 9, a ZHR has / h of only three meteors. However, the meteors have an entry speed of about 70 km / s.

The pegasid radiant is located in the constellation Pegasus , approx. 5 degrees west of the star α Pegasi . The mother body of this meteor shower is probably the comet C / 1979 Y1 (Bradfield) .

For Central Europe , the best observation time is the second half of the night, as the radian here reaches a sufficient height above the horizon .
