Peimānnä
Peimānnä , Paymaneh, also Pajmaneh, was a Persian measure of volume (measure of capacity). Wine , vinegar , melted sheep butter and similar goods were measured . The measure was already determined by Gaza Ḫān, like Ḫīk the tube as a wine measure , around 1300, but had different vessel sizes depending on the liquids to be measured.
The following applies to deliveries to the court or for honorary gifts:
- 1 Ḫīk = 5 peimānnä = 50 men = 13,000 dirhams = 41.7 liters
One Ḫik less was expected for festivities, so the following applied:
- 1 Ḫīk = 4 Peimānnä = 40 men = 33.4 liters
