Peisandros (Sparta)
Peisandros († 394 BC before Knidos) was a Spartan general in the Corinthian War .
In 394 BC He was entrusted with the supreme command of the Spartan fleet by his brother-in-law, the Spartan King Agesilaus II . However, Peisandros was a relatively inexperienced commander, so he lost the Battle of Knidos , a naval battle off the coast of Asia Minor, against the Persians. He was killed in the course of the battle.
