Padma Choling (born October 1951 in Dêngqên , Qamdo ) was the 8th chairman of the government of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China from January 15, 2010 to January 29, 2013 . In addition, he holds many other offices. He has been a member of the Chinese Communist Party since October 1970 . He served in the People's Liberation Army for seventeen years .
