Qamba Püncog ( Champa Phüntshog ; * May 1947 in Qamdo ) was the chairman of the government of the Tibet Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China from 2003 to 2010 .

Qamba Püncog first worked in a factory for agricultural machines in Qamdo and then studied mechanical engineering at the University of Chongqing ( Sichuan ). In May 1974 he joined the Chinese Communist Party . After completing his studies, he returned to his company and later held various positions in the administration in Tibet, first in Bomê County (in Nyingchi ), then in Shannan , and finally at the level of the autonomous region and national level. In May 2003, he became chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region government. In January 2010, Qamba Püncog resigned from this office. He was succeeded by Padma Choling . In addition, from October 22, 2007 to November 15, 2012, Qamba Püncog was a member of the 17th  CPC Central Committee . From 2013 to 2018 Qamba Püncog was Vice-Chairman of the 12th  Standing Committee of the National People's Congress .
