Pengsjökomplexet is the largest contiguous wilderness area in the municipality of Örnsköldsvik and is located around ten kilometers southeast of Solberg . The area with an area of ​​4,451 hectares includes several lakes, swamps and large-scale rain bogs . It is a realm interest and Natura 2000 area. The large Stormyran bog consists of large, flooded areas and dry, solid strips. This type of bog is called strängflarkmyr in Swedish . However, the moor and the surrounding areas are unprotected and belong to the timber companies SCA and Holmen , which operate forestry here.
