Pensin
Pensin is a place within the municipality of Kletzin in the north of the Mecklenburg Lake District .
Geography and traffic
Pensin is located about four kilometers northeast of Demmin and five kilometers south of Loitz on the right bank of the Peene .
The course of the river was straightened in 1934 because inland waterway vessels could only pass the sharp bend of the Randow Loop (formerly Pensiner Haken ) with difficulty or not at all.
history
The first mention comes from 1305 in a deed of donation from Duke Otto I of Pomerania . The manor was owned by Conrad Mardefelt until 1688 and then by his son Leonhard Mardefelt.
Pensin was the main place of residence of the municipality of Pensin in the early 1930s. The suburb Quitzerow was settled in the following period.
Incorporations
Pensin was incorporated into Quitzerow on January 1, 1960 . On June 1, 2004 Quitzerow was incorporated into Kletzin together with Pensin .
