mausoleum

The mausoleum of Pensin, a district of the municipality of Kletzin in the Mecklenburg Lake District , is located in the town's cemetery, southwest of the Pensin church . It was built in 1850 from hewn field stone and is structured on the long sides and the south gable with plastered pilasters . The completely plastered north gable with the entrance portal has a gabled vestibule open in three round arches with two rectangular columns.

The mausoleum initially served as a hereditary burial for the Dudy and Dähnert families from Demmin , who managed the estate from 1843 to 1888. A grave cross with a memorial plaque identifies the mausoleum as the final resting place for a married couple as well as a woman and a child who died on August 12, 1912 while sailing in Lake Schwerin .
