The church was built from field stone on a rectangular floor plan at the beginning of the 19th century . The architectural details of windows, doors and cornices were made of brick . In 2005 the church received a one-manual organ from the organ builder Friedrich Löbling (Erfurt), which was previously in the baptistery of the St. Bartholomew Church in Demmin.

There is a mausoleum southwest of the church .
