Penta Chemicals is a network of European chemicals distributors. The main goal of this cooperation between companies is to generate advantages on the procurement and sales side. For this purpose Penta Chemicals GmbH & Co. KG (short: Penta) was founded.
history
Penta was founded in 1966 as a GmbH in Düsseldorf. The five (Greek. Penta) founding members were the companies Dahmann & Co. ( Solingen ), Fritz Hamm ( Düsseldorf ) Gebr. Overlack ( Mönchengladbach ), Dr. Reininghaus ( Essen ) and Weinstock & Siebert (Düsseldorf). The company's goal, which was already defined back then, was and is today to secure the independence and competitiveness of the shareholders through synergy effects through joint purchasing . In 1985 Penta moved its headquarters to Nuremberg and in 1988 it moved to Aschaffenburg . Penta has been based in Mainaschaff since 2005 .
Business areas
Penta takes on tasks in the areas of procurement, sales, marketing and logistics for its shareholders and their subsidiaries and holdings. The cooperation offers producers a nationwide distribution of their chemical products through the member companies. Penta acts as a purchasing community on the one hand and a marketing cooperation on the other and achieves common effects that none of the member companies would be able to achieve alone.
On the sales side, there is a cooperation with other medium-sized chemicals dealers, which enables a supply throughout Europe.
