The subsidiary Pentel Bürobedarf-Handelsgesellschaft mbH has been responsible for sales in Germany and other European countries since 1969. Pentel produces in seven factories; including 3 in Japan and 4 in other countries.
history
Pentel was founded in 1946 as "The Japan Stationery Corporation" by Yukio Horie . The company's beginnings lie in the production of watercolors, pencils and oil pastels, mainly for schools and kindergartens.
Pentel has been family-owned since the beginning and is continued by the founder's grandson, Keima Horie.
