Penzinger barracks

The Penzinger barracks was located at Penzinger Straße 7 - 9 in the 14th district of Vienna .

It was built in 1758 under Maria Theresa as a cavalry barracks . The barracks of the Austro-Hungarian Army were demolished in 1839 and parts of the Cumberland Palace were built in its place . The neighboring parade ground became a park.
