People's Convention Party

The People's Convention Party ( PCP ) was a political party in Ghana between 1993 and 1996 .

The party leader was PK Donkoh-Ayifi. The PCP was an amalgamation of the National Independence Party (Ghana) (NIP) and the People's Heritage Party (PHP) from 1993.

The PCP merged with the National Convention Party on January 29, 1996 to form the Convention People's Party , which has since participated in both presidential and parliamentary elections. Initially called the Convention Party , the current name Convention People's Party was adopted in 2000.
