1999–2000 season (Indoor Football League)

The Pirates started in the IFL in 1999 and reached the GoldCup final in their first season , but lost it against the Green Bay Bombers 63:60.

In the following year 2000 they remained completely unbeaten, achieved 14 wins to 0 defeats in the main round and crowned themselves at the GoldenCup against the Bismarck Blaze with 69:42.

The IFL broke up after the season and the Pirates switched to af2.

2001-2004 season (af2)

The four seasons in af2 were changeable. After the Pirates missed the playoffs in 2001 and 2003, they won the ArenaCup in 2002 65:47 against the Florida Firecats . Also in 2004 they moved into the final. The opponents in the final were again the Florida Firecats, who returned the favor for the 2002 defeat and triumphed 26:39.

After the defeat it was announced that the Pirates will take part in the United Indoor Football (UIF) for the new season and under a new name, the Peoria Rough Riders .

2005-2006 season (United Indoor Football)

The two seasons were anything but successful for the Peoria Rough Riders. While the first year ended with 6 wins and 9 defeats, the second ended 0 to 15. Both times you missed the playoffs.

After the season the Rough Raiders broke up and announced that they would not join an indoor league in the 2007 season.

2008-2009 season (af2)

For the 2008 season it was finally possible to participate again in af2 under the old name and logo.

With 4-12 wins and 5:11 wins, the Pirates could not build on their old form and did not reach the playoffs both times.

After the 2009 season, af2 was dissolved. The Pirates also shut down their gaming operations.

In 2010 there was discussion about admission to the Indoor Football League (IFL), but participation has not yet been realized.
