Pepero

Pepero ( 빼빼로 ) is a confectionery product manufactured by the South Korean company Lotte Confectionery . It went on sale in 1982 and is based on the Japanese product Pocky by the manufacturer Ezaki Glico . There are different flavors such as chocolate, strawberry, cocoa or cheese.

Pepero Day

Pepero Day is a festival in South Korea that takes place on November 11th every year as 11/11 looks like four pepero sticks. The day is mainly used by young people and couples to exchange pepero sticks, other sweets and other gifts. The manufacturing company Lotte supports the festival, but claims that it has nothing to do with the creation.
