Career

Gawelin started playing soccer at Nora BK . In 1994 he joined Örebro SK and two years later made his debut in the Allsvenskan . In the 2-1 win over Östers IF on August 3, 1996, he came on in the 85th minute for Mikael Steen . In the 1997 season he established himself as a regular player in the club at the age of nineteen and played 25 games this season. In 2004 he ended his career with a knee injury. After retiring from his career, Gawelin stayed with ÖSK and is involved in the association's youth work.
