Pere Plana i Puig

Pere Plana i Puig , often also called "Pere Plana Puig" for short (* 1927 in Olot , † 2009 in Girona ) was a Catalan painter who followed the tradition of the Olot School .

Above all, Plana Puig has devoted herself to the representation of figures and the depiction of people (often embedded in landscapes), predominantly from the rural-peasant environment. His works are characterized by a very personal expression in the drawing. In some cases, they come close to the genre of caricature. Plana Puig has exhibited in Olot and various Catalan cities, as well as in Madrid and Paris .
