Peridia
In mycology, the peridia describes the wall of a closed spore container. Different manifestations of these sheaths are called peridia:
- The shell of the gasterothecien ( fruiting body of the belly mushrooms ). The structure of the peridia (subdivided into endo- and exoperidia, multilayered structure) is decisive for the opening of the fruiting bodies, for example in the case of earth stars .
- The shell of the peridole, small, lenticular gel parts , for example the expensive ones .
- The wall of the spore receptacle ( sporocarpium ) of the myxomycetes .
- The wall of some cleistocarper fruiting bodies of sac fungi , for example the truffle .
