Perieres (King of Sparta)
Perieres ( Greek Περιήρης ), the son of Kynortas , is a king of Sparta in Greek mythology . He ascended the throne of Sparta after his father. He was succeeded by his son Oibalos .
He is often confused or equated with Perieres , the son of Aiolos . This in turn was the first husband of the Gorgophone , who married Oibalos as a widow.
