Percale

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Percale is a light cotton fabric woven in a plain weave .

It is a particularly fine-thread and tightly woven product. Because of these properties, percale is well suited as a basis for delicate-colored print designs with fine drawings. In 1997, percale is referred to elsewhere as a strong, unbrushed, printed shirt material, in contrast to Zefir (colored batiste) and Oxford (colored woven). It is preferred as a material for bed linen and the filling of duvets as well as for shirts and blouses.
