Perlebandet (Norwegian for pearl necklace ) is a series of linearly arranged nunatakkers in Queen Maud Land in East Antarctica . In the mountains of Sør Rondane they tower 8 km northwest of the Tanngarden .
Norwegian cartographers, who also used the descriptive naming, mapped it in 1957 using aerial photographs taken by the United States Navy as part of Operation Highjump (1946–1947).
