The Persian double ax is a weapon from Persia (today's Iran ) with two opposing single-edged and crescent-shaped curved blades , which are attached to a metal shaft with one eye. Sometimes a triangular, pointed blade of different lengths is attached between the blades on the hammer head. The double axes were used by ethnic groups in Persia and are often decorated with engravings or silver patterns in the ( Indian ) Koftgari style.
