A Persian round shield is a protective weapon from Persia.

description

A Persian round shield is made of thick sheet bronze and is circular. Bubble-shaped recesses are incorporated into the top and bottom. These cutouts are used for better visibility when the shield is held up to provide cover during combat. The edge is covered with thick bronze rivets that hold an additional edge reinforcement. In the middle of the shield there is a small shield boss . There are several versions of Persian shields that differ in shape, weight, size and material.
