Personal document
An identity document (from the Latin personalis , 'personal') is a document issued by the state that officially proves a person's identity and its abuse is a criminal offense.
In Germany there are two types of personal documents: passport and identity card .
In Austria : passport , identity card , identity card , driver's license , gun passport, etc. a.
In Switzerland : passport , identity card , SuisseID .
Other documents that could identify a person, such as social security card , student ID , student ID , membership card , BahnCard , etc. are generally not accepted as identity documents, because there are too many issuing bodies whose procurement directives are not well known, there are different formats and often there is hardly any protection against forgery. Such documents therefore often have the addition “Only valid in conjunction with an identity card or passport”.
