Pertti Edvin Sveholm (born December 2, 1953 in Oulu , Finland ) is a Finnish actor .

Life

As a film actor Pertti Sveholm made his debut in 1980 in the television drama Näköalat . Since then he has worked in over 140 film and television productions, including smaller roles in films such as Hamlet Doing Business , Complices Out of Fear and The Man Without a Past . He was nominated three times for the Finnish Jussi Film Award, with two awards for “Best Supporting Actor”, in 2002 for Classic and in 2009 for Tummien perhosten koti . He was nominated for Best Actor in 2010 for his portrayal of Mikko in the drama Väärät juuret , although he could not prevail against Heikki Nousiainen for his portrayal in Postia pappi Jaakobille .

Parallel to his acting, Sveholm staged two operas as a director : Jari Järveläns Makuukamarioopperan in 2010 and Mika Waltaris Gabriel, tule takaisin in 2012 .

Sveholm was married to actress Sari Havas from 1993 to 2007 . They have two children together, born in 1991 and 1994 respectively. The actress Pihla Penttinen is also a daughter of Sveholm. In August 2011 it became known that he was in a relationship with the art historian and author Anna Kortelainen .
