Pervij TVCH ( Russian Первый ТВЧ , scientific transliteration Pervyĭ TVCH , "First TVCH") is a Russian television broadcaster that specializes in the provision of channels for satellite and cable broadcasts. The company was founded in 2007 in Saint Petersburg . The general manager of the company is Nikolay Orlov. Around 6.2 million Russians receive the Pervij TVCH, with around 770,000 viewers in Moscow and the surrounding area and over 210,000 viewers in the Saint Petersburg region.
history
The station was founded on April 27, 2007. At the beginning, the television channels Teleputeschestwija (TV travel), Wesjoloje TV (funny TV) and Raketa TV (rocket TV) were broadcast. The Notschnoj Klub (night club ; erotic), Zoo TV and Kinopokaz (cinema channel) channels were added in autumn. In August 2008, Pervij TVCH broadcast Kinopokaz HD (Kinokanal HD), for the first time an HD channel in high resolution format and Dolby Surround sound . The children's channel Raketa TV was renamed Teen TV , Russia's first teenage channel , in September of the same year . Pervij TVCH expanded its HD channel package in summer 2009: Kinopokaz HD-1 (cinema channel HD-1), Kinopokaz HD-2 (cinema channel HD-2), Teleputeschestwija HD (TV Reisen HD) and High Life HD were broadcast.
In the fall, the station signed a contract with the BBC , the Walt Disney Company , 20th Century Fox and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer , which made it possible to expand the range of the Teleputeschestwija HD (TV Reisen HD) channel and the cinema channels. On December 1, 2009, the transmission of the Okhotnik i Rybolow channel (hunters and anglers) was started in test mode . In February 2010, the "Teleputeschestwija HD" (TV Reisen HD) channel won the Boljschaya Zifra national award by winning the New Russian TV category . In addition, it was nominated in the category Best HD TV Channel . Also in spring 2010, Pervij TVCH signed a contract with Home Box Office , NBCUniversal and Paramount Pictures in order to be able to offer further feature films. The channels Zagorodnij (In the countryside) and Diskoteka TV (Disko TV) have been broadcast since June 2010. In February 2011, the mobile communications provider Mobile TeleSystems started the Look TV channel in test operation .
reception
The channels are transmitted in the standard definition format by Trikolor TV . They can be received via the satellites Eutelsat W4 (36 w. L.) and Bonum-1 (56 w. L.).
The channels are transmitted in HD format either by the operator Platforma HD via the Eurobird 9A satellite (9 w. L.), by the cable networks of the providers of paid channels or via the Internet.
