The municipality is located in the Massif Central , about 13 kilometers north of Tulle , the prefecture of the department.

Neighboring communities are Orliac-de-Bar in the north, Corrèze in the east, Gimel-les-Cascades in the south-east, Les Angles-sur-Corrèze in the south and Naves in the west . The river Vimbelle runs along the south-western border of the municipality and flows into the Corrèze .
