geography

The municipality is located in the Massif Central in the Xaintrie and is traversed by the Cère . It belongs to the Xeintrie Noire . Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 40 kilometers northwest and Argentat 15 kilometers northwest and Saint-Céré about 30 kilometers southwest.

Neighboring municipalities of Saint-Julien-le-Pèlerin are Goulles in the north and east, Laroquebrou and Teyssieu in the south, Camps-Saint-Mathurin-Léobazel in the west and Sexcles in the north-west.
