Saint-Chamant is a French municipality with 486 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .

geography

The community is located in the Massif Central and is surrounded by extensive forests. The prefecture of the department, Tulle , is a good 14 kilometers northwest and Argentat ten kilometers southeast. At the municipal boundary between Forgès and Saint-Chamant, the Franche Valeine flows into the Souvigne .

Neighboring communities of Saint-Chamant are Saint-Bonnet-Elvert in the north, Argentat-sur-Dordogne with Argentat in the east, Neuville in the southwest, Albussac in the west and Forgès in the northwest.
