Argentat-sur-Dordogne is a commune in the French department of Corrèze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . It belongs to the cantons of Canton Argentat and Sainte-Fortunade in the Arrondissement of Tulle . It was created by a decree of June 28, 2016 with effect from January 1, 2017, by merging the previous municipalities of Argentat and Saint-Bazile-de-la-Roche .

geography
It is bordered by Saint-Chamant and Saint-Bonnet-Elvert to the north-west, Champagnac-la-Prune to the north, Saint-Martin-la-Méanne to the north-east, Saint-Martial-Entraygues and Hautefage to the east, and La to the south-east Chapelle-Saint-Géraud , in the south-west with Monceaux-sur-Dordogne and in the west with Neuville . Argentat, one of the Communes deleguées , is the main town (chief lieu).
