geography
The community is located in the Massif Central on the Montane River , in the southern part of the Plateau de Millevaches and is surrounded by extensive forests. The prefecture of the Tulle department is located around 23 kilometers southwest. The A89 autoroute crosses the southeast of the municipality.
Neighboring communities of Vitrac-sur-Montane are Sarran in the north, Rosiers-d'Égletons in the east, Eyrein in the south and Corrèze in the west.
