Lamongerie ( La Monjariá in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 117 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The municipality is a member of the Pays d'Uzerche municipal association . The inhabitants call themselves Monjarios (es).
geography
The municipality is located in the Massif Central at the foot of the Plateau de Millevaches . The village is located on the Ruisseau de Lamongerie brook , which flows further south into the Forges river, which runs along the western boundary of the municipality .
Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is located about 45 kilometers southeast, Brive-la-Gaillarde about 50 kilometers south and Uzerche about 15 kilometers south. The place is about six kilometers from exit 43 of the Autoroute A20 .
Lamongerie's neighboring communities are La Porcherie in the north, La Croisille-sur-Briance in the northeast, Meilhards in the east, Condat-sur-Ganaveix in the south, Salon-la-Tour in the southwest and Masseret in the west.
