Affieux ( Afiu in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 359 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants call themselves Affieucois (es) .

geography

The community is located in the Massif Central on the southwestern edge of the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Nature Park Millevaches en Limousin . The left bank of the Vézère is about two kilometers north.

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 30 kilometers south, Égletons about 30 kilometers southeast and Uzerche about 20 kilometers southwest.

Affieux's neighboring communities are Treignac in the north, Veix in the east, Madranges in the south, Le Lonzac in the south-west, Peyrissac in the west and Soudaine-Lavinadière in the north-west.
