The 12th century church of Lagraulière

Lagraulière ( La Grauliera in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 1100 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The community is a member of the community association Tulle Agglo .

geography

The community is located in the Massif Central . The prefecture of the Tulle department is located about 19 kilometers to the southeast. The municipality is traversed by a small river called Brézou, which flows into the Vézère after around 30 kilometers .

Neighboring municipalities of Lagraulière are Saint-Jal in the north, Saint-Clément in the east, Chanteix in the south, Saint-Pardoux-l'Ortigier in the southwest, Perpezac-le-Noir in the west and Espartignac in the northwest.

Attractions

  • The Saint-Marcel de Bourges church dates back to the 12th century and has been classified as a Monument historique since 1932 . It contains a baroque , carved altarpiece from 1670, created by Pierre and Jean Duhamel.
  • The 12th century Château de Blanchefort , abandoned in the 17th century and restored in the 19th century.
