Veix ( Ves in Occitan ) is a French municipality with 67 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine .

The Puy de Monédière, the highest point in the Monédièren

The community is located in the Massif Central on the southwestern edge of the Plateau de Millevaches and thus also in the Regional Nature Park Millevaches en Limousin .

Tulle , the prefecture of the department, is about 25 kilometers south, Égletons about 20 kilometers southeast and Uzerche about 25 kilometers southwest.

Neighboring communities of Veix are Treignac in the north, Lestards in the northeast, Pradines in the east, Chaumeil and Saint-Augustin in the south, Madranges in the southwest and Affieux in the west.

The source of the Madrange , a left tributary of the Vézère , is located in Saint-Augustin , near the municipal border with Veix. Furthermore, the Puy de Monédière , the highest mountain in the Massif des Monédières at 919 meters , is around three kilometers south of the town center.
