Viam is a French municipality with 93 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the Correze in the region Nouvelle-Aquitaine . The inhabitants call themselves Viamois (es).
geography
The municipality is located in the Massif Central on the Plateau de Millevaches and therefore also in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park . The place is on the north bank of the Vézère and Lac de Viam .
Tulle , the prefecture of the département, is about 50 kilometers slightly southwest, Limoges about 60 kilometers northwest and Ussel about 40 kilometers southeast.
Neighboring municipalities of Viam are Tarnac in the north, Toy-Viam in the northeast, Bugeat in the east, Gourdon-Murat in the southwest, Lestards in the southwest, Saint-Hilaire-les-Courbes in the west and Lacelle in the northwest.
