Field wood in which the tower ruins are located

The Peseckendorfer Warte is a ruined tower in the district of the city of Oschersleben (Bode) in Saxony-Anhalt .

The remains of the tower are to the west of the eponymous village of Peseckendorf , west of the dirt road running from Andersleben to Schermcke . The tower was built at the highest point in the vicinity at 103.9 m above sea level.

The tower, like the still intact towers Weisse Warte and Blauer Warte east of Peseckendorf, may have been part of a medieval Landwehr .

The Peseckendorfer Warte is only preserved in small remnants. Around the tower, which is actually located in an open field, a field wood has formed, which practically completely hides the tower. Inside the wood, the stone tower stump still protrudes about 3 m from the surrounding rubble. An originally round floor plan of the tower can be seen on the rest of the masonry.
