Petar Stazic Strbac (* 1980 ) is an Austrian basketball official .

career

Stazic came to Vienna from Yugoslavia in 1991 with his family, including his older brother Stjepan Stazic . Due to knee problems, he had to stop his playing career early. In August 2010 the two brothers took over management positions at BC Vienna , Petar became manager, Stjepan player and marketing officer. In spring 2012, the team moved into the Bundesliga playoffs for the first time in the club's history. In the 2012/13 season, the club won the Austrian championship for the first time and after 21 years of waiting ensured that a team from Vienna won the title again. “When I took over the club as a manager three years ago, we had to work under almost inhumane conditions. We didn't even have balls. Basketball didn't really exist in Vienna, if only as a marginal phenomenon, ”he said in an interview with kurier.at in autumn 2013 , looking back on the early years of his tenure. In the 2014/15 season the BC Vienna was runner-up.
