The church

The Evangelical Lutheran Peter and Paul Church is located in the Unterschönau district of the town of Steinbach-Hallenberg in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district in Thuringia .

history

In place of a dilapidated prayer room , the small church was built in 1900 on the side of the main street. The portal side is picturesque and has decorated half-timbering and biblical motifs in the mortar plaster of the compartments .

For the centenary of the church, the neo-Gothic interior was designed in a fresh shade of green. The golden stars in the barrel vault are a special feature .
