Peter Adolf Reincke

Peter Adolf Reincke (born April 7, 1818 in Königsberg ; † December 8, 1886 in Berlin ) was a German doctor and university lecturer and politician of the General German Workers' Association (ADAV).

Reincke studied medicine and graduated with a doctorate . Between 1860 and 1868 he worked as a senior physician at the city hospital in Hagen . There he belonged to the newly founded Masonic Lodge "Victoria zur Morgenröthe".

Reincke was a member of the ADAV and from 1864 to 1868 city councilor in Hagen. From 1867 to 1868 he was a member of the North German Reichstag . This made him one of the first social democratic parliamentarians in Germany. In November 1867 Reincke was expelled from the ADAV.

From 1868 Reincke lived as a general practitioner, later with the title of medical councilor in Berlin. He was also a lecturer in industrial health care at the industrial academy in Berlin between 1872 and 1879 and at the Technical University in Berlin from 1879 until his death .
