Peter Atkinson (born December 14, 1949 in Gainsborough ) is a retired English football player .

Career

Atkinson came to third division club Rotherham United in 1969 and played three league games for Rotherham in the early stages of the 1969/70 season , but they all ended in defeat. From 1970 to November 1974 he played mostly as a right back in 175 competitive games (1 goal) for Ilkeston Town in the Midland League (1970/71, 1973-1974) and in the Southern League (1971-1973).
