Peter Baldwin (director)

Peter Baldwin (born January 11, 1931 in Winnetka , Illinois - † November 19, 2017 in Pebble Beach , California ) was an American actor and television director .

Life

Baldwin worked as a model for a short time before he got an acting contract with Paramount in 1952 and was able to show off his youthful, handsome, athletic appearance in mostly positive roles of the 1950s, while establishing himself as a reliable actor. Roberto Rossellini brought him to Italy for Era notte in Roma in 1960 , where he continued a modest but steady career until 1972.

From 1964 Baldwin was a busy television director who shot countless episodes for around 100 series; from time to time he also worked as an assistant for cinema films (as in Vittorio De Sica's Seven Lures Woman ).
