Peter Brant

Peter M. Brant (* 1947 ) is an American multibillionaire (his fortune is estimated at US $ 2.7 billion), art collector, film producer and owner of the "White Birch Paper Company". He is also the owner of Brant Publications, Inc., which specializes in art magazines.

White Birch Paper produces high-quality newsprint, telephone directory paper and cardboard in a total of six production sites in the USA and Canada . Every year more than 1.3 million tons of newsprint and telephone directory paper are produced with up to 50 percent recycled paper. The company is headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut. White Birch Papier is a family business with customers in the US and the rest of the world.

Peter Brant is the owner and breeder of a number of English thoroughbreds , including Waya (FR), the 1979 winner of the American Champion Older Female Horse, and Gulch, who won the Breeders' Cup Sprint and the American Champion Sprint Horse ”won.

Brant was also the founder and (playing) member of the "White Birch Polo Team", one of the most successful teams in US polo and co-founder of the "Greenwich Polo Club".

Peter Brant was the main producer of Basquiat (1996), Pollock (2000) and Andy Warhol: A Documentary Film (2006). He was also involved in the production of Tommy Lee Jones' The Homesman  (2014).
