Peter Eckardt

Peter Eckardt (born October 13, 1940 in Apolda ) is a German politician.

Life

Eckardt was a member of the German Bundestag for two terms from December 20, 1990 to October 17, 2002 with an interruption from 1994 to 1998. In 1990 he was elected from the state list of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) in Lower Saxony and in 1998 as a directly elected member of the Goslar constituency . The constituency of Goslar was dissolved in 2002 through the downsizing of the German Bundestag and added to other constituencies. Peter Eckardt advocates strengthening applied research at German technical colleges and universities, considers tuition fees to be socially inappropriate and advocates better funding for science and research in Germany. The former member of the Bundestag is currently teaching professional and social education at the Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg. Publications on didactic and methodological issues in vocational training and on vocational training policy.
